TRANSMITTING APPARATUS OF VIDEO-AUDIO SIGNALS AND TRANSMITTING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in image quality that it is degraded markedly with respect to errors uncorrectable using error correcting codes in transmission of a compressed video. SOLUTION: In a transmitting apparatus of video and audio signals, a data amount counter 42 counts data amount stored into a buffer 41 to be reset when eighty bytes of the amount is stored. An error register 43 stores output results form an ECC 31 as an error flag and is reset when the counter 42 is reset. When the counter 42 is reset, an error block detector 44 detects that the data stored in the buffer 41 is false if the flag indicates errors, a multiplexer 45 selects outputs from the buffer 41 or from a frame buffer 46 to output to the buffer 46 responding to results of the detector 44.
