PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a home security system using IC card telephone allowing the effective and precise safety management of a dwelling house by making it impossible for a person taking a criminal act to confirm the absence of a resident by use of telephone before the illicit intrusion to the dwelling house, and collectively controlling operations of turning off electric power source or gas at the main, locking a door or window, and the like when the resident going out. SOLUTION: In this home security system, an IC card telephone equipped with an IC card mounting part mountable of an IC card is used to perform the safety management of the dwelling house. The dwelling house is provided wit power source management means for managing the interruption of the power source of electric facilities; gas management means for managing the main cock of gas, and facility control means for stopping the supply of power by the power management means, the state where the IC card is not mounted on the IC card mounting part of the IC card telephone, and also stopping the supply of the gas by the gas management means.
