PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of switching a reproduced image in a short time, when searching recorded images by sending pages. SOLUTION: The camera is provided with a memory for image reproduction 121 for temporarily recording a frame image to be reproduced, a memory for imager transfer for temporarily recording the frame image to be reproduced or communicated, a communication means 129 for temporarily recording the frame image in a memory 122 in a communication mode and transmitting and receiving it, a memory switching means 134 for switching the frame image recorded in the memory 121 and the frame image recorded in the memory 122, in accordance with the frame sending instruction in a reproduction mode to output them selectively and pre-reading the frame images to record them on the side of a memory where the frame images are not selectively outputted, and a display means 132 for displaying the frame images outputted selectively by the means 134. Thus, the reproduced images be page-sent can be switched at high speed and displayed.
