<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by reducing a circuit scale in the case of the A/D conversion of the signals of plural video formats, such as D terminal. SOLUTION: In the case of inputting the analog video signals of the plural video formats, the video signal of an SDTV is sampled by the frequency which is almost the same as that of the dot clock of the video signal of an HDTV so that an analog low pass filter required as the preprocessing of A/D conversion is also used for the HDTV. The number of horizontal pixels in digitizing the video signal of the SDYV is made to be common with the number of the horizontal pixels of the video signal of the HDTV, the number of the pixels can be converted using a common filter. The noise component of frequencies equal to or higher than the dot clocks can be removed by the filter in the conversion of the number of the pixels.</p> |
