PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate assembling work of an optical device by making a light transmission cap easily bondable to a package body. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an optical device by mounting an optical element 12 onto a package body 10, resin molded integrally with a lead frame 20 and then bonding a light transmission cap 14 to the opening of the package body 10, UV-curing adhesive is applied to the opening of the package body 10 and the light transmission cap 14 fixed, to one side of a light transmission window 16, with a protective film 18 for shielding the optical device from UV-rays for curing the adhesive is fixed to the opening, while directing the one side as the outside surface. Subsequently, the joint of the light transmission cap 1 and the package body 10 is irradiated with UV-rays, thus causing the light transmission cap 14 to bond to the package body 10. |
