PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a insulated wire which includes an insulator comprising a cross-linked silane graft polyethylene and enables easy insulator peeling work. SOLUTION: The insulator comprises a cross-linked silane graft polyethylene in which ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and/or ethylene-ethyl acrylate are added to a low-density linear polyethylene, and which is derived from a blend polymer having a vinyl acetate and/or an ethyl acrylate content of 5-40 wt.%.
