A method of simulating a distilling plant having a combined distilling column (10) capable of increasing a converging capability in a simulating operation when a simulation of the distilling plant is performed by using the simulation program for a distilling plant having a main column (31) and a side column (32), comprising the steps of inputting a liquid distribution ratio of the distilling column (10) as the liquid distribution ratio for the flow rates of the liquid set for distributing the liquid falling down from the top of the main column (31) to the liquid falling down from a feed side and the liquid falling down from a side cut side, and calculating the steam distribution ratio of the distilling column (10) in correspondence with the liquid distribution ratio for distributing the steam rising from a column bottom to the steam rising on the feed side and the steam rising on the side cut side.
