PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device which can display a prohibited time period during which high-speed sound recording is prohibited, by an easy operation. SOLUTION: A timer 12 clocks a prohibited time period during which next high-speed sound recording is inhibited, after high-speed sound recording is performed in an MD unit 3. A key operation part 4 supplies instruction information which instructs the change of a display mode (time period display) displayed on a display part 5 to a microcomputer 1 according to the depression of TIME keys. The microcomputer 1 displays a remaining prohibited time period clocked by the timer 12 on the display part 5, when a change is instructed to the display mode which displays the prohibited time period by the key operation part 4. In addition, when the timer 12 is not under clocking operation, the microcomputer 1 displays information showing the fact that the high-speed sound recording is not in a prohibited state on the display part 5. |
