摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide material for a lamp housing of a lighting apparatus for vehicle, where the material does not lower diffuse reflectance even when omitting an undercoating treatment step in a preparatory step of aluminium vapor deposition treatment and has excellent impact resistance. SOLUTION: This material for the lamp housing is made of synthetic resin that has a reflecting face depositing aluminium vapor deposition film directly without undercoating layer in the inside, wherein it is characterized in that the material for the lamp housing is rubber reinforcing styrene series resin that is composed of rubbery polymer of 0.05-0.5μm weight-average particle size, aromatic vinyl series monomer and acrylonitrile series monomer, the ratio of the rubber component in the resin is 8-20% by weight and the relation between the weight-average particle sizeμm (X) of the rubbery polymer particle and weight % (Y) of the rubbery polymer component satisfies the following equation (1). equation (1): 1<= weight-average particle sizeμm (X) of rubbery polymer particle×weight % (Y) of rubbery polymer component <=5.
