The inventive ink-jet printing method consists in transferring ink drops from a plate to a carrier by sending a laser pulse train to each point of an ink film. At a point there the laser beam impacts, said laser pulse train produces light-hydraulic effects moving away from the plate surface and producing a series of successive acoustic pulses which form a channel for a short time at the given point of the ink film and eject drops of ink on the carrier. In order to ensure maximum efficiency of the inventive method, a pulse amplitude, pulse time, pulse relative duration and a pulse count are determined with respect to a co-ordinated effect performed on the given points of the ink film. The inventive printer for carrying out said method comprises a pulsing unit embodied in such a way that it generates series of pulses and a device for focusing pulses embodied in such a way that it sends one series of pulses on each given point of the ink film.
|
