PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive ray image output device that outputs a radioactive ray image recorded in an IP(Imaging Plate) through the use of an image pickup device and obtained by reading the IP to an image output medium as a visible image and that makes the size of the visible image constant independently of a magnification rate at the recording. SOLUTION: A QA-WS-40 is provided with a magnification processing section 45 having a magnification rate calculation means 45a and a magnification means 45b. The magnification rate calculation means 45a receives output size information J1 from an output size setting section 48 and magnification rate information J2 from an identification information entry device (not shown), respectively. The magnification rate calculation means 45a calculates a magnification rate to bring an output size of the visible image based on entire image data S2 into an output size denoted by the output size information J1 on the basis of the output size information J1 and the magnification rate information J2 and gives calculated information J3 to the magnification means 45b. The magnification means 45b reads contents of the imaging plate IP according to the received information J3 and applies magnification processing to image data S1 obtained by reading the IP.
