PATCH ANTENNA AND RF UNIT INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch antenna which can be miniaturized, can easily be loaded onto a communication unit and can reduce influence that a radio wave gives to the brain when the antenna is applied to a portable telephone set, and to provide an RF unit having the patch antenna. SOLUTION: The patch antenna is constituted of a base material 1 of laminated structure. The base material 1 has a hybrid circuit 4. Two or more patch antenna elements 2a and 2b are given on the same side when viewed in the lamination direction with respect to a ground electrode 3 arranged on the base material 1. Power is fed to the patch antenna elements 2a and 2b by shifting the phase using the hybrid circuit 4.
