<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FPC connector of spring properties, generating sufficient contact force of a small size and a short height, and which is easy for manufacturing. SOLUTION: A second contacts 3b, 3b', for connecting with a printed circuit board, which is not described in a drawing in a housing 1, are arranged on both side of a first contact 4 for connecting with an FPC in this connector. Since the connector has a structure pressing in and mounting these contacts 3b, 3b' along the insertion direction of the FPC, the connector has a structure of a reduced overall size and a shortened height and easy for manufacturing. An actuator 2 is engaged with and retained at an engagement piece part of the contacts 3b, 3b', by closing the actuator 2 after inserting the FPC into an insertion hole under open condition of the actuator 2 turnably attached on both sidewalls 1a of the housing 1, and accordingly the spring property generating a sufficient contact force for the inserted FPC connection is secured.</p> |
