PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pre-distortion type distortion compensation circuit that can reduce the distortion compensation quantity to be stored in a memory while maintaining the effect of nonlinear distortion compensation. SOLUTION: Data for distortion compensation are reduced by storing the data to a memory 2 by widening a sample of a distortion correction quantity to be compensated when the amplitude (g) of an input signal is small in a linear characteristic range and by narrowing the sampling interval of the distortion correction quantity when the amplitude (g) of the input signal is large resulting in causing large distortion in the nonlinear distortion characteristic of an amplifier 60. Furthermore, the amplitude (g) of the input signal and an address (h) of the memory 2 are cross-referenced and an address calculation circuit that calculates the address from the amplitude (g) of the input signal is provided to the pre-distortion type distortion compensation circuit that can reduce the memory capacity while maintaining the effect of the nonlinear distortion compensation. |
