PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant operation supporting device which can provide video data and properly support operation in case of plant abnormality. SOLUTION: A plant on-line data retrieving means 15 retrieves plant data from a plant data file 11 and an image plant on-line data retrieving means 17 retrieves image data from an image data file 12. A system diagram output means 16 merges the plant data from the retrieving means 15 and the image data from the retrieving means 17 and displays the result on a system diagram display screen 18. Consequently, not only the plant data obtained on-line, but also the on-line image data photographed by a camera 13 installed to monitor respective plant equipment facilities can be displayed on the system diagram display screen.
