PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auction system and an auction method capable of effectively using open information among information relating to used cars formed into a database by collecting it in advance as customer information. SOLUTION: This auction system to sell an article at auction among plural terminals connected through a communication network consists of a means to register the personal information of a customer and the information of an article owned by the customer in the terminal device of a dealer in charge, a means to keep and administrate the registered information by separating it to open information opened to public in the auction and secret information used only for the administration of the dealer in charge in the terminal device of the dealer in charge, a means to notify the open information of the article to a dealer participating a NET in accordance with the desire of the customer through the communication network, a means for the dealer in charge who has received purchase assessment from the dealer participating the NET to present the content of the assessment to the customer after confirming it, and a means to execute a successive transaction procedure between the dealer in charge and the dealer participating the NET. |
