PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lengthen the shelf life of a battery which is full charged and often stored for a long time, without degrading its cells all through the storage period. SOLUTION: Each battery cell 10 has a constant voltage control circuit 12 whose reference voltages (20, 21) are made swichable. The battery cells are generally less degraded when charged and stored at a low voltage. Utilizing this property, the battery cells are stored at a low voltage all through the period of storage to lessen their degradation. |
