<p>The user can recognizes the kinds of menus displayed on a display unit readily and immediately since the menus are colored differenctly. The selected item selected from a menu is display with the highest luminance, and the unselected items are displayed with luminances decreased step by step depending on the distance from the selected item so as to improve the recognizability of the selected item. When an indicator for selecting one of the displayed items is moved by a movement operation of operating means to select a new item, the indicator and all the items are all shifted by one item in the opposite direction to the movement of the indicator. Thus an error of operation is prevented and items that might be selected are always display on the display unit.</p> |
