An abnormality diagnosing device for mechanical equipment requiring by users no dedicated analyzing instrument nor skills necessary for diagnosing the abnormalities of sliding members, and allowing users to request an abnormality diagnosis readily and with a minimum effort and to obtain diagnosis results quickly. An abnormality diagnosing device for diagnosing for abnormalities of sliding members in mechanical equipment by analyzing noise or vibration data generated from mechanical equipment, comprising, both connected to a network (2), a diagnosis processing server (1) and a user-side information processing terminal (3), wherein the diagnosis processing server (1) receives noise or vibration data generated from mechanical equipment and information specifying sliding members used in the mechanical equipment from the user-side information processing terminal (3) via the network (2), diagnoses the mechanical equipment for abnormality based on the received data, and transmits diagnosis results to the user-side terminal (3) via the network (2), thereby easing loads on the user and providing a quick abnormality diagnosing.
