PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL element, which can maintain a luminescence characteristic continued and stabilized at the long period of time by removing moisture effectively. SOLUTION: The organic EL element consists of a substrate 1, an anode 2, which consists of a transparent electric conduction film formed in the substrate 1, and an organic luminescence layer 3 and a negative pole 4 formed in the anode 2. And an water absorbing agent 5 containing an organic matter having isocyanate group at least in a part of the negative pole 4. The water absorbing agent 5, which consists of the organic matter having the isocyanate group, has high capability to adsorb moisture chemically, and can remove effectively the moisture, which acts on an element. |
