PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system by which a user can grasp contents before purchase, illegal copy or the like can be effectively prevented on the other side and further a general user can easily acquire a digital key for locking write type package media when executing the distribution (including selling) of high quality moving and still pictures or high quality music while using the package media such as CD-ROM or DVD. SOLUTION: The package medium acquired by the user is electronically locked, it is impossible to refer to and to use the package media as they are, and the electronic lock of digital contents stored on the electronically locked package media can be unlocked online by the server computer of an unlock dealer or the like connected to a computer network from his/her own personal computer of the user or the like. Besides, the digital key for locking the package media can easily be acquired by the general user through the network such as Internet.
