CONTROL VALVE TYPE STATIONARY LEAD AND BATTERY AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve type stationary lead acid battery having a high positive electrode active material utilizing factor at a low temperature. SOLUTION: The control valve type stationary lead acid battery comprises a carbon powder having an average particle size of 20μm or less, the mixed carbon powder having an average particle size of 300μm or more for 20-50 mass% and having an average particle size of 20μm or less 50-80 mass%. Using a mixed carbon powder formed by mixing a carbon powder having an average particle size of 300μm or more a paste active material is formed by adding the mixed carbon powder in an amount of 0.5-3 mass% in terms of the mass of a mixed lead powder and the paste active material is filled in a lead alloy collector and aged and dried at a temperature of 80-90 deg.C and a relative humidity of 95% or higher to form a paste positive electrode plate which is used for the control valve type stationary lead acid battery.
