PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AV(audio-visual) information recording device not requiring a control program having enormous steps and a dedicated IC having a high processing speed which are required in the conventional device. SOLUTION: This AV information recording device is provided with a writable disk 1 such as a hard disk or a DVD-RAM(digital versatile disk-random access memory), a hard disk driving section driving the disk 1, a first head 2 reading/writing data from/to the disk 1, and a second head 3 reading data from the disk 1. The first head 2 is used for reading and writing, and the second head 3 is used only for reading. The first head 2 and the second head 3 independently perform control, drive, and data input/output with the outside regardless of the position and operation mode of the other head. An AV control device is provided with a buffer giving sector/track numbers to be read or written to individual head for reading or writing data.
