<p>The arthrodesis apparatus, consisting of parallel stay rods on either side of the vertebrae to be treated, anchors in the form of hooks or screws, and cross-members, has each cross member (1) made in two sections (5, 6) with stay rod fastenings (2). One section (5) of each cross-member has a spherical head (7) and thread (8), and the other section has a cup (9) with a spherical cavity (10) to receive the head, while a nut (12) engaging with the thread holds the two sections together. Each cross-member section is connected to a rod fastening (2) by a screw (3) passing through a slot (15) with various fixing positions (16).</p> |
