PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus with high reliability by attaining high-speed transfer processing and preventing a transfer error. SOLUTION: In the image processing apparatus of this invention, an image input/ output section 21 receiving two image data obtained by reading a front side and a rear side of an original with a read section transfers the data by each line to a hard disk 25. Thus, the transfer processing can efficiently be started without awaiting end of write to an image memory 23 and a memory control section 22 applies comparison management to number of processing lines to avoid a mistake in data transfer. Thus, the image processing unit with a simple configuration, high-sped processing performance and high reliability can be provided at a low cost.
