PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a function for automatic connection for utilizing external communication with which connecting processing is dynamically performed when utilizing an external communication means, and a function for connecting plural databases with which the databases of plural classes can be accessed. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an external communication means utilization data managing means for preserving substance data on another computer or auxiliary storage medium connected to the other computer while the device is connected to the other computer except for a computer operated by an operator while using the external communication means, and an automatic external communication utilization connecting means for connecting the device through the external communication means even when the connection relation of the other computer or the like preserving the substance data to be utilized for the computer operated by the operator is not established.
