PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for controlling an electromagnetic parts feeder having a simple configuration and capable of causing vibration accurately. SOLUTION: This device has an electromagnet 16 vibrating at a predetermined frequency, a vibration device 14 in which the electromagnet 16 is provided, a bowl 12 for discharging parts therein by the vibration device 14, a drive circuit 20 for driving the electromagnet 16, and a control part 22 for sending a drive signal to the drive circuit 20 to perform predetermined drive. The drive of the electromagnet 16 is temporarily stopped per predetermined drive cycle of the electromagnet 16 to control the vibration of the electromagnet 16 based on signals obtained by electromagnetic induction from a coil of the electromagnet 16 during a period of stop.
