PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, of which the size is prevented from enlarging, the luminance of a projected video is heightened and the temp. rising in a liquid crystal display element and a polarizing element is suppressed. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 1 is provided with a liquid crystal display part 24, a cooling container 26, a refrigerant 30 and a stirring means 31 and the liquid crystal display part 24 includes an incident side polarizing element 21, a liquid crystal panel 22 and an exiting side polarizing element 23. The incident side polarizing element 21, the liquid crystal panel 22 and the exiting side polarizing element 23 which have generated heat, exchange the heat with the refrigerant 30 encapsulated in the cooling container 26 to be cooled. Since the refrigerant 30 in the cooling container 26 is forcibly circulated by the stirring means 31, the flow rate of the refrigerant 30 is higher than that of the prior art and each member of the liquid crystal display part 24 can be efficiently cooled. |
