PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high grade phase contrast plate excellent in thermal stability of optical characteristics, high temperature strength and transmissive wavefront aberration, producible more efficiently than a conventional one and adapted to the wavelength of a light source. SOLUTION: The phase contrast plate comprises a glass plate 1 whose light transmissive faces 1a, 1b have <=0.5 nm surface roughness Ra and a phase contrast film 3 stuck to the light transmissive face 1a of the glass plate 1 by way of a transparent adhesive 2 made of a resin, having a phase contrast of λ/4 to the wavelength λ of a light source and made of an optically anisotropic resin. The surface roughness Ra of the outer light transmissive face 3a of the phase contrast film 3 is <=1.5 nm. |
