PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic printing machine, capable of improving contact between a copying sheet and a light receiving body belt, having high reliability and hardly requiring maintenance care. SOLUTION: The array of wiper blade segments attached to a common shaft is used in the device and the method for improving the contact between the photoconductive member of the electrophotographic printing machine and paper, to which an electrostatic latent image is transferred. The respective segments are attached to the shaft, in order to perform restricted rotation on the shaft against a torsion spring. The torsion spring biases the blade segment to the paper. Some blade segments control the length of a wiper blade array, in accordance with the dimension of paper to be dealt with in relation to a stoppage mechanism in terms of motion. |
