PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator causing no car vibration problem, even if the relative positional relation between a cage and a car frame is deviated, and to provide a car support. SOLUTION: This elevator is provided with the car frame 40, the cage 50 disposed in the car frame 40, and the car support 18 interposed between the car frame 40 and the cage 50. The car support 18 is provided with a frame 19 fitted to the cage 50 side and a rubber stopper 20 retained to the frame 19 via a spring 23. Even if the relative positional relation between the car frame 40 and the cage 50 changes in traveling of the elevator, the spring 23 can make the rubber stopper 20 elastically abut on the side of the car frame 40.
