[Class 12 (i)] In a conical roller bearing in which at the large end of the rollers C a ring of thrust balls e is arranged between a thrust ring d, and an abutment flange s on one of the races, the thrust ring d makes contact with each roller directly on the axis of the roller. As shown, the abutment flange s is on the inner race ring a, and a flange f is fitted at the other end of the race. In a modification the flange s is secured detachably to the outer race and the ring f is omitted. Specification 230,251, [Class 12 (i)], is referred to.
