PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite false-twist yarn excellent in the process passableness in undergoing a weaving/knitting because of being in convergence while being capable of giving woven/knitted fabrics afforded with firm texture owing to the convergence, imparted with dry touch and having varied surface properties. SOLUTION: This composite false-twist yarn is composed of a plurality of filament yarns, being such that each of the filament yarns has fused parts and non-fused parts in a composite state, each of the parts comprising a plurality of filaments; wherein each of the filaments penetrates through both the fused parts and non-fused parts in the direction of fiber axis and converged parts where a plurality of the filament yarns are converged as a result of their alternate twisting exist partly in the direction of fiber axis.
