PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording body having such back face indication that even when the direction of paper feeding is rotated by 180 deg. in the paper feeding process of a regenerating device, the back face (non-image receiving layer face) of the image recording body can be accurately discriminated by the indication and that the appearance of the back face of the image recording body is not damaged, to provide a small-size regenerating device for an image recording body image with a low energy consumption which uses the above image recording body, and to provide a method for regenerating an image recording body. SOLUTION: The image recording body is an opaque body at least one surface of which is subjected to a release treatment and which can be repeatedly used for image formation. The non-image receiving layer face as the back face of the image recording body has an identification display part with which the back face of the image recording body can be discriminated by the back face discrimination means of the regenerating device for the image recording body. The identification display part is formed on at least a part of the side edges along at least a pair of side lines facing each other of the image recording body and formed as 180 deg. point symmetric to each other. The image recording body is used for the regenerating device and the method for regenerating. |
