PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug for gas blowing with which the using limit can clearly be judged while securing the stable gas blowing and the safe operation can be achieved without missing the exchanging timing. SOLUTION: In the plug for gas blowing having gas passages 26 composed of fine holes and/or slits vertically penetrated, a gas ventilating refractory 23 having a prescribed height in the lower end part is embedded at the position where a refractory constituting the plug does not interfere in the above gas passages 26.
