PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a space-saving paper feeder, provided with a plurality of paper receiving parts, which can surely feed paper sheet by sheet from a second paper storing part to a first paper storing part as a result surely prevent the paper from wrinkling and folding, even in the case of using the paper of high electric resistance easily charged with static electricity and even in a feed under an environment of high humidity. SOLUTION: This paper feeder comprises a first paper receiving part 11 arranged in the forward side in a paper conveying direction, a second paper storing part 12 arranged in the rearward side in the paper conveying direction, a paper transfer feed means 60 for transferring paper P loaded on the uppermost layer stored in the second paper storing part 12 onto the first paper storing part 11, and a float separating means 101 blowing air to a side surface upper part of the loaded paper stored in the second paper storing part 12 to float the paper in the uppermost layer to additionally separate it from the paper in the downward.
