PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for automobile with reduced weight and increased assemblage. SOLUTION: In this weather strip for automobile 1 fitted to the door opening part of a body, a hollow seal part 4 coming into elastic contact with a door at the time of closing is fitted to a body part 3 with a recessed groove 2 on the outdoor side of the automobile, and an inside wall 3a coming into contact with a body flange F and a seal lip 5 at the end part thereof are provide at the body part 3 on the indoor side. At the roof portion of this weather strip for automobile 1, the inside wall 3a is stuck to the body flange F through a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape 6 or an adhesive agent, and a burr 7 for prevention of collapse is installed in the recessed groove 2. At the other portions of the weather strip for automobile 1 than the roof portion, the burr 7 is removed, and the end part of an indoor trim 9 is inserted into the recessed groove 2 and fixed to the body.
