PURPOSE: An open box type cowl panel of an impact absorbing structure is provided to minimize injure of a pedestrian by absorbing double impact energy applied to the pedestrian's head when the pedestrian's head comes into collision with an engine hood part. CONSTITUTION: An open box type cowl panel of an impact absorbing structure includes an engine hood(200), a cowl panel(100) disposed at a lower side of the engine hood, and an impact absorbing member(110). The impact absorbing member is disposed at a side of the cowl panel located right under the engine hood. The impact absorbing member has a cut hole formed in a lower surface of the impact absorbing member being in contact with the side of the cowl panel.
