PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining ring capable of firmly fixing a member to be housed such as a coil holder to a housing member, such as a sensor housing in a torque sensor, without separately using an elastic member, e.g. a leaf spring, while contriving space saving. SOLUTION: The retaining ring 60 is provided with an annular part 62, having a cut portion 61 and is elastically deformable, to enable expansion or retraction of its diameter. A plurality of protrusions 63, which are supported by the inner periphery of the annular part 62 like cantilevers and are arranged in a line along the peripheral direction, are formed integrally with the annular part 62. Each protrusion 63 is protruded from the annular part inward in a diametral direction and outward in an axial direction, so as to face one axial direction as heading toward the center from the inner periphery of the annular part 62. Further, each protrusion 63 is elastically set swingable in the axial direction with respect to the annular part 62. |
