PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar water heater that makes natural circulation possible without using any pump. SOLUTION: This solar water heater is composed of a solar radiation collecting section, a heating section which is heated by means of the collecting section, and a water tank. The heating section has a closed end section on the heating-side and an opened end section which is opened underwater in the water tank. The water tank has an opened section which is opened to the atmosphere and the heating section is set to a reduced-pressure state before heating.
