PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens barrel whose measure in a radial direction is reduced. SOLUTION: This zoom lens barrel comprises a third lens group frame 55 in which an end face cam 55c shifted in a circumferential direction is formed at an end face in an optical axis direction and which holds a third lens group 143, a second lens group frame 54 having a cam follower 54b abutting on the end face cam 55c and holding the second lens group 142, a second lens group spring 61 pressing the second lens group frame to the third lens group frame, a rotation regulating means to regulate the rotation of either the third lens group frame or the second lens group frame around an optical axis and a rotating means to rotate either the third lens group frame or the second lens group frame around the optical axis when performing zooming operation at the other, and the end face cam 55c and the cam follower 54b are actuated by the relative turning of the third lens group frame and second lens group frame around the optical axis when performing the zooming operation, so that an interval between them in the optical axis direction is changed.
