PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compound useful for a rapid, simple and low-cost PCB enzyme immunoassay substitutable for a conventional complex PCB assay. SOLUTION: This phenoxy compound represented by general formula (R1 is a chlorine atom or a phenyl group; R2 and R3 are each a hydrogen atom or a chlorine atom; R4 is an alkyl group, an aryl group, a hydrogen atom or a succinimidyl group; m is an integer of 5 to 7) is combined with BSA, etc., and can be used as an enzymatic immunoassay reagent in assaying PCB.
