ELECTRONIC COMPONENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PURPOSE: To provide an electronic component equipped with external electrodes which can be adhered closely to both the surface of a molded body and the exposed surface of an internal conductor in proper states. CONSTITUTION: Electronic component is constituted by embedding an internal conductor (conductor coil) 2 in the surface of the molded body 3 made of a metal which is formed by molding a ferrite resin 1 in a prescribed shape, so that at least part of the conductor 2 is exposed and arranging the external electrodes 4a and 4b electrically connected to the internal conductor 2 in prescribed regions, including the exposed portions (2a and 2b) of the conductor 2. At manufacturing of the electronic component, the external electrodes 4a and 4b are formed through a step of forming a metal film (electroless-plated film) 5 on the surface of the molded body 3 by performing electroless plating after Pd is caused to adhere to the region, where the conductor 2 is not exposed at a ratio of 0.5-1.5 μg/cm¬2 and to the exposed portions (2a and 2b) of the conductor 2, exposed on the surface of the molded body 3 at ratio of 0.05-0.3 μg/cm¬2.
