摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production device for an optical element that can produce a formed glass gob with high accuracy by adjusting upper and lower forming mold members even at a high temperature in the atmospheric. SOLUTION: This production devise of a glass gob for an optical element includes an axial core position adjusting system for upper and lower mold members 3 and 2 of a forming mold. This position adjusting system comprises a free mobile system 11 that can move axial core position of at least one side of mold member, and a positioning system that can suit axial core position of each upper and lower mold member. A positioning member 8 of each upper and lower mold member is comprised of a porous material that can emit gas from the surface. Positioning is arranged by the positioning member set in each upper and lower mold member within a desired range of upper and lower area, keeping a melted optical glass gob 1 not contacted by each mold member.</p>
