SPEECH RECOGNIZER AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech authenticator which characterizes inputted speech with a small data quantity and authenticates the speech by using this characteristic quantity. SOLUTION: In recording of recording waveforms, a window comparator 12 forms the recording waveforms of digital signals by binarizing analog speech electric signals; a differential processing section 15 forms differential recording waveforms and an error range waveform forming section 18 forms error range waveforms (positive) and (negative). In authentication of the user's speech, the window comparator 12 forms the input waveforms of the digital signals; the differential processing section 15 forms the differential input waveforms and a decision section 20 decides whether the differential input waveforms are confined within the range of the error range waveforms (positive) and (negative) or not.
