ETHYLENE PROPYLENE DIENE RUBBER COMPOSITION AND ETHYLENE PROPYLENE DIENE RUBBER/PLASTIC COMPOSITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ethylene propylene diene rubber composition which retains a moldability and an adhesion to plastics and has a high mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The ethylene propylene diene rubber composition contains an ethylene propylene diene rubber (A) and a poly(alkenylene) (C) wherein double bonds account for from 1/12 to 1/5 of the total carbon-carbon bonds. Here, (1) the amount of a softener (B) contained is <60 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. component (A) while the amount of the poly(alkenylene) (C) contained is 0.7 to 5 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. component (A), or (2) the amount of a softener (B) contained is 60 to 150 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. component (A) while the amount of the poly(alkenylene) (C) contained is 0.7 to 12 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. component (A).
