HOLOGRAM LIGHT GUIDE PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which can produce uniform bright illumination in a hologram light guide plate. SOLUTION: The hologram light guide plate 1 has a transparent plate body 2 and a hologram 3 applied on one surface 2d of the body and is constituted in such a manner that the light 5 introduced from a light source 4 disposed near one end of the plate body 2 propagates while repeatedly causing total reflection through the plate body 2 and that a part of the propagating light 5 is diffracted by the hologram 3 to exit to the outside of the plate body 2. The light guide plate 1 is provided with an absorbing layer 7 to absorb the light 5 propagating to the other end part 2b of the plate body 2 opposite to the light source 4.
