PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting fitting and a mounting method for a building safety net, capable of improving workability in an upstairs section while securing the safety of an operator. SOLUTION: The mounting fitting is provided with a flat plate-shaped fixing plate part 11 fixed to a beam H, a girder K, a column or the like, through holes 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d and 11e which are formed in the plate part 11 and whereinto such fixing means are inserted as a bolt 16, a nail 21 or a screw for fixing the plate part 11 to the side surface of the beam H, the girder K, the column or the like, a folded plate part 13 constituted in such a manner as to be suspended from the lower end of the plate part 11 and raised upward through a folding part 12a formed in a midway part, and locking parts 13c and 13d constituted in such a manner as to be formed on the left and/or right side of the folded part 13.
