PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: For the valve system of internal combustion engine that a cam contact part with the valve cam is equipped in the rocker arm having a cylindrical support of oscillation movement which is supported in the oscillationally movable condition by the rocker shaft and an engine valve is linked and connected, to increase the rigidity of the oscillation movement supporting part of the rocker arm with avoiding to result in weight increase. SOLUTION: A Rib 72 which is extended to the direction across the perpendicular plain to the axial line of the rocker shaft 51 is equipped projectingly in the outer surface of the oscillation supporting part 57.
