PURPOSE: A front panel device for a car audio is provided to make a front panel perform a straight reciprocation without rotating against the front of an audio body, and to have a display and an operation button on the front of the front panel, so that the operation button is easily operated in a state that the front panel is projected in a front direction. CONSTITUTION: A medium entrance(22) is formed in the front of an audio body(20), and a front panel(30) is installed to be straightly reciprocated in a front direction. A display(32) and an operation button(34) are installed on the front of the front panel. A driving force for moving the front panel is applied by a driving motor. The driving force of the driving motor is delivered to the front panel through a rack bar(37) long extended on the rear of the front panel. And guide bars(36) are formed in rear edges of the front panel, to guide a motion of the front panel.
